We presented Mr Austin with a teddy in full uniform..
21 July 2017
In July we welcomed our local MP, Ian Austin, to Blowers Green. Whilst here, we presented him with a teddy bear dressed in full school uniform.
Mr Austin later wrote to say:
"It was such a pleasure to take part in Blowers Green Primary School’s leavers’ assembly today.
It’s always fantastic to be able to celebrate young people’s hard work and success but I think it’s the third time I’ve been to Blowers Green this year and I always come away so impressed with what headteacher Mrs Sehmbi has achieved.
Look at last year’s SAT results and you’ll see Blowers Green achieved the best results of any school in the entire borough – better than schools in Stourbridge or Halesowen.
And this year’s Ofsted inspection saw the school awarded outstanding in all areas.
I think achievements like that are absolutely stunning and the whole community should be really proud of Mrs Sehmbi and her colleagues.
I keep saying we need to make education our number one priority – not just to give youngsters a first class start but to attract new investment, new industries and new jobs and to help adults get new jobs too.
That’s why it’s always great to see a local school doing such brilliant work."
20 June 2017
We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the Silver School Games Mark Award.
